The Australian Jockeys Association supports the establishment of the Think Ahead Brain Injury Prevention Foundation.

The Racing Industry continues to be proactive in its approach to health and safety and injury prevention. The AJA is involved in this ongoing process and strongly supports Think Ahead in relation to awareness, support and encouragement for people with acquired brain injuries.

Victorian Jockeys Association

Two prominent Victorian jockeys died from brain injuries at different race track meetings in the same week in March 2005.

The Victorian Jockeys Association encourage and remind all equestrian and recreational riders throughout Australia when riding a pony or horse to use commonsense. Attention, prevention and early intervention reduces risk of physical injuries including brain injury.

The Victorian Jockeys Association is pleased to be a partner of ‘Think
Ahead’ Brain Injury Prevention Foundation.
