Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is relatively
common among children and adolescents. Most injuries are mild; however,
in the UK, every year approximately 3000 children acquire significant
new neurological or cognitive disability as a result of TBI, the sequelae
of which may remain constant or deteriorate. Many children return to
