Think Ahead, Brain Injury Prevention Foundation is a not for profit organisation and takes a proactive positive approach in the prevention of brain injury through road, sport, work and home accidents and personal assaults including attacks on individuals and shaken baby syndrome.
Australians need to be educated and made aware that brain injury is a very serious injury that will impact on their lives with a loss of family and or friends and the ability to function as they did prior to sustaining a brain injury.
Australian society doesn’t see mild or moderate brain injury as an injury because an injury has to be seen to be believed. This is why brain injury in Australia is labelled the ‘silent invisible injury’ because affected individuals are inevitably distanced by family, friends community and society.
