Australia's first world champion skier, Kirstie Marshall, has been Australian Skier of the Year six times, and won seventeen different World Cup gold medals. In 1998, Australia's Kirstie Marshall became world freestyle skiing champion and equal all time victories record holder. Kirstie's achievements are legend and include being the first woman in history to score over 100 points on a single competition jump.

Sheila Laxon became the first female thoroughbred horse trainer in Australia to train and win with Ethereal the 2001 Caulfield and Melbourne Cup Double.
