Brain injury is a serious and cumulative social and medical problem. Brain injury can be sustained through motor vehicle accidents, recreational and sporting activities, falls or drug and alcohol abuse. Think Ahead aims to raise public awareness in the prevention of brain injury in order to assist in the reduction of this invisible injury.
In order to achieve the vision Think Ahead aims to:
• Raise awareness of brain injury through education to:
Maintain protection of possible brain injuries that
manifest in
this present society through individual presentations Nationally.
• Promote the prevention of brain injury by:
Raising awareness of brain injury prevention facts
to every P&C and School based literature that will reach families.
• Research the development of early intervention for
individuals who have sustained mild or moderate brain injury in:
Acknowledgement of research relating to brain injuries
by making
this prevelance more public to every school in Australia.
